A high-level team from the Institute of Chartered Corporate Secretaries of Sri Lanka (ICCSSL) recently met Registrar General of Companies Sanjeewa Dissanayake to discuss and appreciate the efforts taken by the  department to align an 80-year-old manual system to eRoC.

This digital platform merges the company law and secretarial practices to contribute to the ease of doing business in Sri Lanka.

Dissanayake thanked the ICCSSL for offering its support and invited feedback and views to make eRoC a robust system. These would also help apparent issues faced since its implementation 12 months ago.

Deputy President and Past President S. Sudarshan gave a brief overview of the institute, which originated as a branch of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of the United Kingdom.

The ICCSSL conducts professional examinations with a comprehensive syllabus covering company secretarial practice, company law and the regulatory framework of Sri Lanka.

President Hemali Ellawala, Immediate Past President Helen de Silva, Deputy President S. Sudarshan, Vice President Ishani Liyanage, Past President Kishan Kuruppu and members of the board Nisha Najumudeen, Dilrukshi Wiratunga, Geredene Suares and Priyadarshana Wetthasinghe represented the ICCSSL.
