The Industrial Development Board of Sri Lanka (IDB) has launched a survey to gather business ideas from the general public in an effort to support the growth of Small, Medium and Large enterprises operating in the country.
In a notice to the public, the board called for potential, innovative and novel business inputs from individuals, especially those with a strong interest in starting new ventures.
“We invite you to share the information with us in order to understand the potential industries and take necessary measures to develop the industry sector in the country,” the IDB stated.
The board has launched the survey under 2 segments with one segment focused on gathering ideas for new industries while the other addresses land requirements for the development of both existing and new sectors.
Inputs for the survey are to be submitted via the QR-linked Google Forms accessible through the IDB website. Opinions can also be shared via WhatsApp or email.
The IDB further stated that the confidentiality of all provided information will be guaranteed by the board.
