Indian CEO Forum meets US ambassador

The Indian CEO Forum (ICF) met US Ambassador Julie Chung and her team at the US mission in Colombo, on March 1, 2023 and discussed the opportunities for mutual collaboration to support the people of Sri Lanka in the current situation. 


The ICF has over 70 companies as members, including some companies headquartered out of the USA and headed by Indian nationals in Sri Lanka. 


The CEOs appraised Chung about various social initiatives taken by the Indian companies in Sri Lanka that encompass areas such as promoting employment for women, mental health initiatives and food and nutrition for children. 


Chung was appreciative of the timely Indian help to Sri Lanka and stressed that the common agenda of both the US and India is to assist Sri Lanka to handle the current economic crisis. She offered her guidance on various initiatives, which the Indian companies want to undertake to help the people of Sri Lanka. 


Chung was also appreciative of many Indian-born American entrepreneurs and executives heading various companies in the US. 


The ICF was represented by T.S. Prakash, Manoj Gupta, Umesh Gautam, Sanjay Baid, Anurag Sharma, Ashish Chandra and Harikrishnan Sundaram.
