John Sea Food wins Presidential Exports Award

John Sea Food (Pvt.) Ltd, which has climbed up to the zenith of the fish export trade in the local export market, captured the victorious Presidential Exports Award held at the Bandaranaike International Memorial Conference Hall recently.


The award was conferred on the company for recording the highest rate of foreign exports under the category ‘Sea Foods’.


John Sea Food (Pvt.) Ltd, started by Supun Chalinda in 2011, exports fish and fish-related products to overseas markets, specially to the American and European markets.
John Sea Food (Pvt.) Ltd has won Friend of Sea, FDA, Dolphin Safe and SGS quality assurances. It is one of the leading seafood export companies in Sri Lanka, which contributes foreign exchange revenue to the Sri Lankan economy.


Though John Sea Food (Pvt.) Ltd had been involved in the trade of purchasing local market fish and exporting to overseas, due to external market demand, its business expansion targets have led to set up a state-of-the-art factory. Consequently, John Sea Food (Pvt.) Ltd owns a modern European standard factory that cuts and packs fish to the overseas market.
