Kuwait Airways doubles capacity out of Colombo

Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC), the national carrier of the State of Kuwait and the world’s five-star airline, announced yesterday that it intends to double its capacity in and out of Colombo from December 5, 2021, as part of a strategy for restoration of regular operations into Colombo. 

Coming on the back of the Sri Lankan government’s efforts to relax the quarantine requirements imposed on the inbound passengers, which has definitely given the aviation industry a much-needed boost, it aims to have a positive impact on the number of tourists coming into the island nation. 

Kuwait Airways recently relaunched its flights to Sri Lanka and looks forward to further increasing its frequency in the days ahead, while also planning to launch a spate of promotional fares, commencing this week. 

Further, the airline is pleased to announce its weekly connection to New York, wherein the passengers travelling from Colombo can look forward to an afternoon arrival in JFK. This combined with the airline’s exceptional baggage allowances (64 kgs on Business Class and 46 kgs on Economy Class) make travel to the US very attractive.

Moreover, the national carrier of Kuwait affirmed its readiness to restore full operations of commercial flights in line with the approval of the health authorities and resumption of air navigation in other countries. Kuwait Airways has always strived to maintain a high commitment to excellence and has a legacy of a colourful history in Sri Lanka spanning over four decades.
