LIOC celebrates 20 years of service in Sri Lanka

To commemorate the 20 years of its service to Sri Lanka, Lanka IOC organized a grand celebration. The momentous occasion was marked by the presence of Speaker of the Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, Minister of Power & Energy Kanchana Wijesekara, other Cabinet and State ministers, High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay, Members of Parliament, Governor Central Bank, Chairman Lanka IOC Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Board of Directors of Lanka IOC, Heads of Institutions and distinguished guests.


Manoj Gupta, MD LIOC welcomed all the dignitaries and guests and conveyed gratefulness for sparing their valuable time and being part of the special event. In his address, Chairman Lanka IOC Mohapatra reflected on 20 years of growth, grit and greatness of the company, with several milestones and achievements during its eventful journey.


In his address, Gopal Baglay praised the unparallel efforts on LIOC during the challenging situation specifically during last couple of months in maintaining a seamless energy supply to the country.


Minister of Power & Energy, Kanchana Wijesekera also appreciated the crucial role of LIOC in overcoming the challenging energy crisis situation and complementing government at every step and playing a significant role.
