In a major strategic joint promotional initiative, Lanka IOC in association with the Abans Group kick-started a mega campaign throughout Colombo and Gampaha, beginning November 5, 2019.

Adopting a unique digital and brick and mortar concept, the cross promotion will provide motorists the opportunity to drive away with high-end prizes including Piaggio Aprilia scooters and 12 LG LED TVs from Abans.

The process is simple and straightforward: Motorists with two- or three-wheelers should fill up Rs.200 worth of petrol/extra premium, and four-wheelers Rs.500 worth, and send an SMS to Abans <space> Pump code <space> bill number to ‘0712338888’ to enrol and receive an instant response.

“Abans is happy to be partnered with Lanka IOC PLC for the joint promotion that is carried out at 68 petrol sheds in Colombo and Gampaha areas. Abans Auto, being a leading automobile company in Sri Lanka expects to connect with more customers and motorists of Lanka IOC by creating awareness of Aprilia, Vespa, Hero,TVS and Hyundai products,” Abans Group said.
A spokesperson of Samms Juke Box, the official organiser and facilitator of this campaign, said that this offer is specific to citizens of Sri Lanka and is a gesture of seasonal promotion and customer goodwill and is a simple, hassle-free method of fuel up and win.

On the side-lines of the event, Lanka IOC Managing Director Manoj Gupta and Abans Group Director Chinthaka Pereira emphasised the importance of the tie-up and the takeaways of the offer which will last through December 31, 2019.

As part of it’s civic responsibility, all operators involved urge users not to drive and use a cell phone simultaneously.

Speaking at the launch, Lanka IOC Managing Director Manoj Gupta said: “Parallel to the campaign, yet integral to it, is Lanka IOC’s commitment to citizen safety and driving/fuelling ecosystems.”

He also urged upon the motorists and the valued customers to play the pivotal role in the conservation of the energy stating that while regular servicing of the vehicles is a must along with the usage of the standard quality of the lubricants, he emphasised upon the solarization of the sheds that is being undertaken by LlOC in a
big way.

Lanka IOC believes that responsibility also begins with the corporate sector and is consequentially underscoring the need to evolve fuelling, marketing and social behaviour into an integrated marketplace.

Safety, duties and responsibilities have to be factored into every aspect of this ecosystem. We are heavily invested in citizen and driver safety and their wellbeing is our reward,” he added.
