Lanka IOC upgrades country with launch of premium Octane Petrol ‘XP 100’

Lanka IOC achieved a significant milestone in the petroleum fuel retail marketing in Sri Lanka, by launching country’s first premium-grade 100 Octane Petrol ‘XP100’ in Colombo. 
With this launch, Sri Lanka becomes the 8th country in the world where 100 Octane petrol is available along with countries like US, Germany, India etc.   
This revolutionary premium fuel was launched by High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha in the presence of Minister of State for Power & Energy DV Chanaka, LIOC Chairman Sujoy Choudhury, LIOC Managing Director Dipak Das,  and other senior officials. 
This unmatched premium fuel enhances vehicle performance, leads to faster acceleration, provides better fuel economy, prolongs engine life and reduces carbon emission contributing towards Lanka IOC’s commitment for cleaner and greener environment. 
Addressing the gathering, Santosh Jha mentioned  that India has always extended a helping hand to Sri Lanka and always tried to make available whatever best is there in India, upholding the spirit of a being true and trusted neighbour. He also appreciated Lanka IOC’s contribution to the energy security of Sri Lanka. 
State Minister Chanaka appreciated the contribution of Lanka IOC during economic crisis in arranging uninterrupted fuel supplies for Sri Lanka and also for introducing new and innovative solutions in energy sector taking Sri Lanka closer to achieving its sustainability goals. Dipak Das emphasized LIOC’s continuous resolve to provide new and innovative products and services and also to contribute towards betterment of the society through various CSR programmes.
At present XP100  is available in two LIOC petrol sheds in Narahenpita and Alexandra’s place. The fuel will be available in other sheds in coming days, the company said.
