Laugfs Eco Sri empowers future generations through education

Laugfs Eco Sri Limited recently completed another significant initiative, reflecting its commitment to community development. 
This initiative involved the inauguration of a fully equipped computer lab at Mo/ Muthukandiya Step 3 Vidyalaya (a.k.a. Mo/ Ananda Vidyalaya) in Siyambalanduwa. The construction, equipment, and facilities were provided entirely by Laugfs Eco Sri to support the education of rural students.


This significant contribution will benefit over 800 students from grades 1 to 11 and reflects Laugfs Eco Sri’s dedication to improving educational infrastructure and empowering Sri Lanka’s youth. By making modern technology and digital education more accessible, Laugfs Eco Sri is ensuring that these students are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world. 
The state-of-the-art facility, equipped with the latest hardware and software, is expected to significantly enhance the students’ computer literacy and digital skills, paving the way for their success in higher education and future careers.
The opening of the computer lab was marked by the presence of Thilak De Silva, Deputy Chairman of the Laugfs Group, and Saliya Dissanayaka, CEO of Laugfs Eco Sri Limited, along with other key personnel representing the management and staff of the company. 
The event was a moment of celebration for the local community, with enthusiastic participation from the Monaragala zonal education director, the principal, teachers, and students of the school. 
The atmosphere was filled with optimism, with the new facility representing a milestone both for the school and for Laugfs Eco Sri’s ongoing CSR efforts.
Speaking on the occasion, hilak De Silva, Deputy Chairman of Laugfs Group emphasised the importance of collective action at the local level, “We at Laugfs are committed to fostering sustainable development through initiatives that empower local communities. We believe in the transformative power of education, and our donation of this computer lab underscores our dedication to enhancing educational opportunities and fostering digital literacy among Sri Lanka’s youth.”
