Lion Brewery reinforces data security and integrity with ISO 27001:2022

Underscoring its commitment to data protection and information security, Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC was accredited with the internationally recognised standard – ISO 27001:2022 certification.

This certification encompasses all data centre and information security aspects, ensuring a robust infrastructure for efficient cloud and on-premises operations. With a goal to transition fully to a cloud-based system by 2025, Lion Brewery leads the industry in Sri Lanka, being the first to implement a multi-cloud strategy and execute a cloud-to-cloud migration.

This certification, an upgrade from the 2013 version, demonstrates the company’s proactive approach to risk management and compliance. Looking ahead, Lion Brewery plans to extend this certification to application development and management, further enhancing its information security practices.
