Magicbits (Pvt) Ltd, a Sri Lankan Ed-Tech solutions designing company, won the national level Startup of the Year Award at the SALSSCOM Ingenuity Awards 2022 organized by Sri Lanka Association for Software Services Companies (SLASSCOM).

The signature product of the company is ‘Magicbit,’ a tiny computer that can be programmed to create different smart innovations with technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics and electronics. For example, even a 10-year old can develop an application in just 10 minutes using Magicbit.

The education systems are transforming worldwide to face industry 4.0 challenges by introducing a new stream combining Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The difficulty, complexity and cost of STEM tools make it harder for students, teachers and parents to follow this path.

Magicbit is a certified STEM tool for learning which is easy to use and affordable. Magicbit was created by engineers from the University of Moratuwa. They have created free content to learn about these innovations on their website.

Therefore, anybody could self-learn the latest technology in the world with Magicbit. This is a ‘Made in Sri Lanka’ product exported to 38 countries. Although it’s primarily made for students above age 8, anyone interested in innovations can use Magicbit. Every Magicbit goes to students around the world with words printed on it as ‘Let’s create Magic with Magicbit’.
