NCCSL to host seminar on ‘Industrial efficiency through labour laws’

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) in association with the Department of Labour is organizing a seminar on ‘Promote Industrial Efficiency and Productivity through Laws’ on October 13 from 9. 00 a. m. to 12. 00 noon at the National Chamber Auditorium, Colombo 10. 


The seminar is designed to provide participants an in-depth knowledge of the laws and regulations governing human resource management and industrial relations in Sri Lanka.


The resource persons will be:  G W Nirosha Viraji - Commissioner of Labour (Human Resource & Development),  Vajira Ellepola - Director General /CEO of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, W P Nimal Weerasinghe - Labour Officer of the Department of Labour, P. A. S. C. Pathiraja - Assistant Commissioner of Labour.


The key discussion points that would be covered during the seminar are: Basic Labour laws for promotion of institutional productivity and efficiency; Positive attitudes and employee motivation.; New trends in industrial relation in Sri Lanka; Management and Human Resource management and Social Dialogue and workplace cooperation.
