NCE to launch 27th Annual Export Awards Application this week

The National Chamber of Exporters (NCE), the only private sector Chamber which exclusively serves Sri Lankan exporters, and represents them, conducts the Annual Export Awards to recognize and reward the achievements of Sri Lankan exporters of products and services as well as service providers to exporters in the international market place.    

The launch of the application in respect of the 27thAnnual Export Awards will be held at the Hotel Galadari on May 16th.   

The awards event will be held at the Hotel Shangri-La in Colombo on September 20th, commencing at 5:30 p.m.   

At the launch, the structure of the application which will reflect the theme of the event, will be introduced by Ramya Weerakoon, President of the Chamber who is also a Member of the Event’s Sub Committee which guides the conduct of the Event.  

Thereafter the Secretary General and CEO of the Chamber, Shiham Marikar will explain the processes related to the planning of the Event, and its conduct, to select the award winners, in respect of the product and service sector categories as well as service providers to exporter categories by an independent professional panel of judges, who will be assisted by a separate panel of technical experts in the selection of award winners in a transparent manner.    

The selection of award winners will reflect the theme under which the event will be conducted this year.    Accordingly the Chamber will highlight in all publicity material, award winning exporters as those who conform to ‘Ethical Business Practices and Good Governance’ which ensures the sustainability of their Enterprises in the long term. 

Award winners will also be provided a ‘Special Logo’ related to their Award Winning categories, which they will be entitled to incorporate for a period of Three Years from the date of winning an Award, in all their promotional and Marketing material.
