On the National Pensioners’ Day celebrated on October 8, National Development Bank PLC (NDB) extended its heartfelt gratitude and admiration to all the pensioners across Sri Lanka for their tireless dedication and contribution to our motherland.

Their unwavering commitment to the country’s progress and development continues to serve as an inspiration for all, having devoted the prime years of their life to shaping the future of the nation.

In recognition of their enduring legacy and to support their well-being, NDB’s dedicated financial offering, the NDB Aachara loan scheme, provides Sri Lankan pensioners with the support they need to lead a comfortable and secure retirement. This specially tailored loan scheme reflects NDB’s commitment to enhancing the lives of the pensioners and acknowledging their significant contributions over the years.

The NDB Aachara loan scheme offers a maximum loan amount of Rs.4.5 million, with a repayment period of 15 years, subject to a maximum age limit of 75 years, ensuring manageable monthly payments. This unique financial solution also comes with a life insurance coverage, ensuring peace of mind for both the borrower and their family, as the loan will be settled in full in the unfortunate event of the borrower’s passing. Additionally, there is no security requirement, making the application process straightforward and accessible.

To be eligible for the NDB Aachara loan scheme, the applicant must be a recipient of a pension from the Pensions Department of Sri Lanka and credit the pension to an NDB Aachara account. The scheme is designed to offer the pensioners the financial support they need while allowing them to enjoy the benefits of a trusted banking partnership.

The NDB Aachara loan scheme stands as a testament to NDB Bank’s dedication to supporting the financial needs of the pensioners, ensuring they can pursue their post-retirement goals with ease and independence. By offering tailored financial solutions, NDB continues to uphold its core values of service and inclusivity, reinforcing its role as a bank that cares deeply for its customers’ well-being and future.
