NDB clarifies on its CPC article

NDB Bank, in a correction statement issued to the media, clarified the information published in an article released by the bank, with regards to its presence at Colombo Port City.  

The full text of the statement issued is as follows.

“Correction statement to papers on CPC article: This communication clarifies information regarding NDB Bank’s presence at Colombo Port City (CPC). A press release published on 2024.06.04, under the headline ‘NDB Bank Elevates Financial Excellence with Authorised Person Status at Colombo Port City’ inadvertently stated that the bank secured an offshore banking licence, which requires correction. 

NDB Bank has obtained a Certificate of Registration as an offshore company at CPC, along with an Authorised Persons (AP) licence issued by the Colombo Port City Economic Commission. 

We apologise for any confusion this may have caused regarding the nature of NDB Bank’s presence at CPC.”
