New SEC commissioners appointed

New commission members have been appointed to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which is now chaired by veteran banker Faizal Salieh.


The newly appointed members are: PwC Sri Lanka Managing Partner Sujeewa Mudalige, leading legal professionals Rajeev Amarasuriya and Shanil Anthony Fernando and AGXA an AG International Company Chairman/CEO Anton Godfrey.


Both Sujeewa Mudalige and Rajeev Amarasuirya have served as commission members at previous occasions and Anthony Shanil Fernando and Anton Godfrey previously served as board members of the Colombo Stock Exchange.


Chartered accountant and ex-CA Sri Lanka President Manil Jayasinghe will also continue to serve the Commission as an appointed member. 


Meanwhile, Deputy Treasury Secretary R.M.P. Ratnayake and Central Bank Deputy Governor Yvette Fernando will continue to serve as nominated members while Registrar General of Companies Sanjeewa Dissanayake and President of CA Sri Lanka Sanjaya Bandara will serve as ex-officio members.
