Nishani Ranaweera honoured with CEO of the Year 2024 award

Nishani Ranaweera receives the award from West Commander Major General Lanka Amarapala

Diligent Consulting Group (Pvt.) Ltd Co-Founder and Group Managing Director Nishani Jayasinghe Ranaweera was conferred with the CEO of the Year 2024 award at Sri Lanka Business Leaders Awards 2024, held at Taj Samudra, Colombo, recently.

Ranaweera is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA), an MBA holder from University of Western Sydney, Australia, Associate Member of the Society of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and an Associate Member of the Institute of Professional Financial Managers (AIPFM)(UK). She has won several national and international awards, including the World Women Leadership Achievement Award at the World Women Leadership Congress, India, 2016, Pioneering Woman Leader Award in 2020 and Sri Lanka Women Leadership Award in 2019.

She has served as an international panellist at the World Women Leadership Congress -Mumbai, India, 2016.
She expressed her gratitude to the jury for conferring her with the prestigious award and to her husband, Diligent Group Chairman Prabash Ranaweera, for his visionary leadership and all 300+ team members of Diligent Group, her parents, daughter, son and all the well-wishers for the immense support throughout the journey.

She founded Diligent Group 19+ years back with her loving husband Prabash Ranaweera, who is an engineer from the University of Moratuwa cum an accounting professional.

Diligent Group consists of  seven revenue-generating sectors: national and international recruitment, staff outsourcing, IT-managed services, imports and distribution, exports and plantation and Diligent was conferred with Excellence Award 2014 and Golden Awards 2022 by the Government of Sri Lanka in appreciation of the valued contribution towards the economic growth of Sri Lanka and  Global Best Employer Brand Awards 2020 at WHRDC in India and Global Leadership Excellence Award  at WLC in Mauritius in 2016.

Nishani Ranaweera is an Old Girl of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo and the loving mother of daughter Hirundi and son Hiruka.
