Sri Lanka’s first and South Asia’s largest oceanic finfish farm, ‘Oceanpick’ has become the only farm in the Indian subcontinent to earn the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) Tropical Marine fin-fish certification for offshore farming.
ASC certification is widely known to be the most exceptional global standard for seafood production. It provides and assurance to consumers that the seafood purchased and consumed is produced in a manner that prioritizes environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and consumer safety.
Oceanpick was previously the first South Asian farm to earn Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification for offshore farming. This latest accomplishment underscores its dedication to upholding the most exceptional standards of environmental stewardship, ethical business practices, and product quality.
