Orion inks US $ 1.78mn expansion agreement with BOI

Orion Development has signed a US $ 1.78 million agreement with the Board of Investment (BOI) for the expansion of its IT park, Orion City.
“Orion Development continues disruptive innovation in technology in Sri Lanka, furthering its IT park to facilitate innovation and creativity with a new ecosystem.Signed an agreement with the BOI for US $ 1.78 million for expanding Orion Colombo and Orion Nest to the next level,” the BOI said in an update on social media platform X.
Established in 2009, Orion City is one of Sri Lanka’s foremost IT parks and one-stop hubs for innovation and collaboration in the country.
Orion City caters to the specific needs of the IT/BPO industry, with modern office space, advanced infrastructure and professional facilities management.
Its clients are mainly multinational and national IT and BPM companies that service clients globally.
As of the present, Orion City spaces host over 80 local and global companies.
