Over 25 industry bodies to power SLASSCOM’s AI Asia Summit

SLASSCOM’s AI Asia Summit 2024, powered by Deloitte, will make its much-anticipated return on November 5th, as the premier event uniting AI enthusiasts, innovators, and business leaders from across Asia. 

Recognizing the transformative role AI will play across all industries, this year’s summit is backed by a robust coalition of industry associations, chambers, and alliance partners, underscoring a collective drive to harness AI’s potential beyond the ICT sector and into fields such as banking & finance, manufacturing & supply chain, agriculture, and hospitality & leisure.

SLASSCOM Chairman Nishan Mendis highlighted the Summit’s mission, stating, “AI is the driving force of today’s innovation, and we’re excited to showcase its impact across various industries while sparking collaboration to fuel future growth. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Government Bodies, industry chambers, and alliance partners for coming onboard, exemplifying the spirit of collaboration needed to embrace AI in this digital age.”

Significant government endorsements, including support from the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology, the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI), and the Export Development Board (EDB), underscore the summit’s national importance in shaping Sri Lanka’s AI-driven future. Additionally, IITM Pravartak has joined as the Knowledge Partner, enhancing the summit’s educational outreach.
