People’s Bank celebrates Thai Pongal

A special ceremony was organized to commemorate Thai Pongal at the Kotahena branch of People’s Bank under the patronage of Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of People’s Bank, N. Vasantha Kumar. 

At this ceremony, a special Hindu pooja was held to invoke blessings on the country, people and People’s Bank customers. The corporate and executive management together with the staff and a large gathering of customers of People’s Bank were present at this occasion. On a similar note, the People’s Bank branches were open for banking in areas largely populated by the Hindu faith. Ceremonies commemorating Thai Pongal were held at these branches while banking transactions were also carried out.
