People’s Bank honours A/L top achievers

People’s Bank recently presented cash prizes to the students who obtained the highest positions in the island and district in all subjects of the 2023 GCE (A/L) examination, in recognition of their achievements.


Accordingly, under each subject stream, the all-island top-performing students were awarded Rs.150,000 (first place), Rs.100,000 (second place) and Rs.75,000 (third place) each.


Under this Programme, People’s Bank acknowledged the students including Pahanma Upani Lenora of Sanghamitta Vidyalaya, Galle, who secured the first position in the Biology stream, Chirath Nirodha of Ananda College, Colombo, who topped the Physics stream, Shehara Situmini of Panadura Girls’ College, who achieved the first position in the Commerce stream, Tasun Ritmika Withanage of Richmond College, who ranked first in the Arts stream, Shehani Navodya of Ginigathhena Central High School, who obtained the first place in the Engineering Technology stream, Kirulu Shildiya of Eheliyagoda Central High School, who topped the Biosystems Technology stream.


People’s Bank has been felicitating and rewarding top-performing students at GCE A/L examinations since 1997 as part of its commitment to nurturing and supporting the future leaders of our nation.
