Prof. Jayawardane to take over as Chairman from March 1

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC last Friday said its board resolved to appoint the current Deputy Chairman Prof. A.K.W. Jayawardane as the bank’s Chairman effective from March 1, 2022.

A stock market filing by the bank further said the board also resolved to appoint Sharhan Muhseen as the Deputy Chairman of the bank with effect from March 1, 2022.

The filing said Prof. Jayawardane and Muhseen hold 13, 083 and 2, 503 of Commercial Bank shares, respectively.
