RDB Bank GM/CEO assumes duties

E.A.D. Janitha Priyashantha has been appointed as Acting CEO/General Manager of RDB Bank, with effect from June 6, 2024. Prior to his new appointment, he served as Chief Internal Auditor of RDB Bank.

Priyashantha, a professional banker, joined RDB in September 2022, after serving as CIA of People’s Bank for over 26 years.  He counts over 30 years of continuous service in banking and finance in various managerial capacities, with exposure to finance and audit sectors.

Holds a B.Com Special Degree with a Second Upper Division from University of Kelaniya. 
Fellow Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
Certified Member (CMA) of Institute of Chartered Management Accountants, Australia. 
Member of Association of Professional Bankers of Sri Lanka.
