Commercial Bank of Ceylon has announced an exciting initiative to enhance the spirit of seasonal shopping.

The bank is set to wipe out Rs.3 million from the December spends of its customers, giving them the perfect opportunity to indulge in the holiday shopping spree with added zest.

Any personal credit card holder of Commercial Bank that spends a minimum of Rs.75,000 in December will be eligible to go into a draw, at which 60 lucky cardholders will each win a bill wipeout up to Rs.50,000, the bank said.
Credit card purchases made at point-of-sale terminals, along with online transactions and payments via the Q+ payment app in the month of December, will be eligible for this exciting windfall.

“There is never a dull moment for ComBank credit card holders when the shopping season arrives,” Commercial Bank Card Centre Head Nishantha De Silva said.

“Our promotions empower customers to spend and win big, while maximising their budgets as they plan for holiday shopping and New Year celebrations.”

Commercial Bank cards are the fastest growing credit cards in Sri Lanka and enjoy market leadership in credit and debit card cumulative point-of-sale usage.

The bank offers a variety of credit cards in the Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers of Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay, LankaPay JCB-branded credit cards in the Platinum, Gold and Classic tiers and Visa Signature, World Mastercard, Visa Infinite, UnionPay Asia Prestige Platinum and UnionPay Asia Prestige Diamond cards in the premium segment. The cards are equipped with ‘Tap ’n Go’ NFC technology and are backed by a strong NFC point-of-sale network.

Commercial Bank credit and debit cards offer year-round promotions covering a wide variety of services.

Commercial Bank was the first bank to offer loyalty rewards for both credit and debit card holders under its Max Loyalty Rewards Points scheme.

The bank was also a pioneer in extending promotional discount offers, which were traditionally only offered for credit cards to its debit cards.
