SLIA to host ‘Architect 2024’ from Feb. 22-25

Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) will be hosting its 42nd annual session ‘Architect 2024’ at the BMICH from February 22nd to 25th. 
The event will kick off with a grand Inauguration ceremony and the National Conference on the 22nd followed by Architects’ Work, Lifestyle & Trade Exhibition at the BMICH. 
This much awaited event promises to be an exceptional gathering of architects, investors, construction stakeholders, professionals, students and general public providing a platform for knowledge sharing and networking.


The inauguration Ceremony of the Annual Sessions 2024 will be held on the 22ndof February 8.00 a.m. at the Main Assembly Hall of BMICH. The ceremony will include the formal induction of newly elected Chartered Architects for 2023, the presentation of SLIA Design Awards, Colour Awards, Research Awards and product awards for the year 2024.
The National Conference will be held on the same day (22 ) at the Main Assembly Hall of BMICH under the theme “Resilience, Resourcefulness, Revival”.  The keynote speaker at the conference will be Professor Jimmy Lim from Malaysia. Other international speakers of the event shall be Archt. Bayejid M. Khondoker from Bangladesh with Archt. Saumitro Ghosh and Archt. Nisha Mathew from India and with eminent local speakers.
Ar. Saifuddin Ahmad – President of the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA), will be the Chief Guest for the Annual sessions.
The Annual General Meeting of SLIA will take place on February 24 at the BMICH.
