Sri Lanka’s first seven-star hotel project, Aviyana Private Chalets (Aviyana Ceylon), under development in the Udispattuwa area of Kandy, is inviting investors to participate in its development.

Investments start from Rs.5 million and the project is expected to boost the country’s economy and tourism industry significantly.

To raise public awareness about the Aviyana Group of Hotels and its project, a sales promotion will be held daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until August 20, on the ground floor of Kandy City Centre, the company said in a statement.

Aviyana Hotel Group aims to support local entrepreneurs and provide them with opportunities in the international market. The project is designed to attract foreign tourists, featuring elements tailored to enhance their experience.
Developed in collaboration with the Investment Promotion Ministry and Tourism Ministry, the Aviyana Hotel project is expected to generate substantial foreign exchange by drawing international visitors. The total investment is approximately Rs.8 billion, with about 70 percent of the construction completed.

The first phase of Aviyana is slated to open in November this year, promising significant changes to Sri Lanka’s investment and tourism sectors, according to Aviyana Hotel Group Chairman/CEO Dr. Thisara Hewawasam.
Guests will have the opportunity to experience a natural environment rarely found in other hotels.

Aviyana Hotel Group offers unique activities and facilities, including a design that maximises the enjoyment of the natural surroundings, meditation centres integrated with the environment, a study centre for Buddhist philosophy, local ayurveda and yoga facilities, an organic farm providing fresh produce for guests and activities such as skydiving, air sports, mountain climbing and white-water rafting.

Helicopter travel facilities will also be available for foreign tourists from the Katunayake and Ratmalana airports to the Aviyana Hotel premises.
