Screen printers from Europe and Asia meet in Colombo for FESPA’s General Assembly

The General Assembly of Federation of European Screen Printing Associations will be held from 29th to 30th September at Colombo Hilton. 


Christian Duyckaerts, the President, Sean Holt, the General Secretary and Neil Felton, CEO with the other council members are in Colombo for the General Assembly. The total number of delegates is 83. 


The objectives of the Federation formed in 1961 are sharing of knowledge of screen-printing, the establishment of close cooperation between screen-printers, digital wide format printers and suppliers and promotion. 


The FESPA Council comprised delegates of the affiliated national associations. It later expanded internationally to countries such as Japan, Korea, Australia, China, India, Nepal.  Sri Lanka Association of Printers SLAP is also a member. FESPA has invested millions of Euros in developing printing industry throughout the world and t funded the completion of the 1st floor of Print Media Academy affiliated to SLAP at Thalahena, Malabe. The Exco members of FESPA will dedicate the new facility for the skill development of local industry on 30th September. 

Ranjit Fernando, President of SLAP will participate in the General Assembly on behalf of the Sri Lankan printing industry.
