Shantha Katipearachchi appointed as PIMA President

 The PIM Alumni Association (PIMA) announced the appointment of Shantha Katipearachchi as its new President for the year 2024/25. 

Katipearachchi is a distinguished veteran in sales strategy and execution with over 30 years of extensive experience and exposure, including over 10 years in consultancy, coaching and training for leading corporates and SMEs.

Shantha holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM UK). He also served as Past Chairman of the CIM UK and as a Member of the Professional Advisory Group – CIM UK. 

As President, Katipearachchi will focus on strengthening PIMA’s engagement and spearheading key initiatives, including professional development events, PIM joint events, national level events and member engagement events. He aims to support the members in furthering their careers by organising CPD programmes through knowledge sharing and professional development, fostering a vibrant community of high-calibre professionals. His vision is to drive innovation and excellence in the field, ensuring that the PIMA remains at the forefront of the evolving business landscape.
