Siddhalepa Group will mark World Diabetes Day on November 18th with an educational programme on diabetes at the Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital in Mount Lavinia.

The highlight of the programme is a talk on ‘Natural Wellbeing’ the path to prevent diabetes and its consequences, by two of the hospital’s senior ayurveda physicians; Professor Sammy Ariyawansa and Dr. Aruni Champika , the resident Medical Superintendent of the Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital.   The lecture will highlight the benefits of a balanced diet and how ayurveda food can reduce the risk of diabetes and adults and children.

The talk scheduled for 9.30 am will be repeated at 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm providing the opportunity for a large number of people to attend these talks at a convenient time to them.

A diabetes clinic with free consultations by a team of prominent ayurveda physicians will also be available on that day. A 20 percent discount on all products (excluding services) is also offered on World Diabetes Day.

World statistics on the population affected with diabetes is increasing at an alarming rate. While older people with diabetes increase annually across the globe, what is even more of a concern is that child diabetes is also increasing.
