Singhagiri launches ‘Prarthana’ initiative for a better future

The Singhagiri company, on October 29, launched the corporate social responsibility initiative, Singhagiri ‘Prarthana’, aiming for a better future for valuable AC technicians in Sri Lanka.

The first step taken under this initiative included handing over inverter air conditioners to selected technical training centres to enhance the skills of AC technicians. Singhagiri has identified the value of enhancing the skills of AC technicians and actively considers this as a responsibility towards making their future brighter. 

Chief Executive Officer Lasantha Alwis, Head of Brands Kalana Madurapperuma, Senior Brand Manager Aravinth Hettiarachchi, Senior Brands Manager Amith Kumara and Assistant Marketing Manager Hasun Perera attended the event, representing Singhagiri (Pvt.) Ltd. 

Moreover, the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute was represented by Chief Executive Director/Principal Maj. Gen. Kalpa Sanjeewa and Refrigerators and AC Division Senior Engineer Niroshan Prasad Gunatilleke. The Kalutara Technical Training Institute was represented by its Deputy Principal L.D.M.P. Liyanage and advisory official G.B. Sanjeewa. 

Maradana Technical Institute Engineering Division Head M.K.K.J. Mawelle and advisory official R.M.S.G. Rathnayake represented the said institution, while the Kurunegala Technical College was represented by its advisory official U.G.I. Ekanayake and the Gangarama Sri Jinaratana Technical College by J.P. Kumara Anthony.

Keeping with the commitment to allow skilled and knowledgeable technicians to emerge, Singhagiri aims to continue this programme in the future as well.
