Sri Lanka Tourism this week launched a new and updated website www.SriLanka.travel aimed at serving the potential tourists as a ‘one-stop-shop.’ Earlier, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau (STPB) had two separate websites.

The new website has been designed to bring together information of those two websites to ensure the target audiences have all the necessary information to plan their trip to Sri Lanka in a more convenient manner.

During the low-key launch event held at the Sri Lanka Tourist Board earlier this week, authorities highlighted that previously, due to relevant information being scattered, potential tourists missed out on certain offers, and with the new website, it would not be the
case anymore.

Conceptualized by Fortunacreatives, www.SriLanka.travel has over 220 attractions listed which are categorized and themed accordingly, targeting an array of tourist segments.

The website is also connected to all registered service providers and the national carrier SriLankan Airlines. Further, it allows and directs tourists to apply for their required visa type online.
The website also carries information relating to investment and regulations.

According to Sri Lanka Tourism officials, the previous websites received about 90,000 visitors a month.
