TVS Motor Company launches iQube electric scooter in Sri Lanka

In redefining electric mobility in Sri Lanka, a top global automaker operating in the two and three-wheeler segments, TVS Motor Company (TVSM), recently launched its premium electric scooter TVS iQube in Sri Lanka. 
This also marks the automaking giant’s entrance to Sri Lanka’s electric vehicle segment. 


Backed by steadfast and trusted engineering capabilities of TVSM, the TVS iQube is well known for its class leading reliability, performance, comfort, build quality and safety. The product offering is complemented by the well-established after-sales network of TVS Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd, developed over a successful and strong presence of two decades in Sri Lanka.

According to the company officials, the TVS iQube provides unmatched performance and intelligent connectivity features. With a peak power of 4.6KW, equivalent to a 125cc scooter, TVS iQube can be accelerated from 0-40 kmph in mere 4.2 seconds. 


Utilising advanced lithium-ion battery technology, this two-wheeler ensures long battery life providing peace of mind to customers. Given recyclability of Lithium-ion batteries, the company officials highlighted on the minimal environmental impact from the vehicle along with potential cost savings. 


“Over and above being built with world-class technology, TVS iQube can save Rs.120,000 annually on running expenses,” they said.


As a testimony to its robust build quality, endurance and highly efficient hub motor with two Lithium-ion battery packs, TVS iQube has achieved the unthinkable feat of riding around Sri Lanka and clocking 1463 kilometres in seven days, charging 16 times along the journey that cost only Rs.2522 in electricity charges.


TVS iQube, priced at Rs.10,99,760, is now available for test rides and bookings at TVS Lanka dealerships in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle and Jaffna and will be offered islandwide soon.
