Thai Lion Air to operate Colombo-Bangkok direct flights from January 30

Low-cost carrier Thai Lion Air will begin operating direct flights between Sri Lanka and Bangkok from January 30.


The flight is scheduled to depart Colombo at 9.30 a.m. and arrive at Don Mueang Airport (Bangkok) at 2:45 p.m. (local time).


Thai Lion Air Chairman Capt. Darsito Hendro Seputro said that the airline is ready for the Sri Lanka market and is excited to bring more travelers from Sri Lanka to experience Thailand’s tourism product. 

In addition to Bangkok, the airline also provides convenient connecting flight services to other domestic destinations in Thailand such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuken and Pattaya. Beach lovers can relax at the world famous beaches of Phuket and Pattaya. 


After Sri Lanka, Thai Lion Air is planning to open other destinations for more connectivity of people all over the world. The airline is confident that the launch of these flights will increase passenger arrivals from Sri Lanka.
