Thai Smile to commence direct flights from Colombo to Bangkok

Subsidiary airlines of Thai Airways, Thai Smile Airways announced its move to connect the reach of Far-East and Southwest Pacific towards Sri Lanka by commencing direct flights from Colombo to Bangkok.


The operation of Thai Smile Airways marks its entry to the Sri Lankan market with a combinational representation along with Thai Airways. 


The airline operates to more than 30 plus destinations including Colombo, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and several others, with an expectation to increase. 


Flights are being scheduled to commence from March 28, 2022. The route will operate daily flights with an early morning departure out from Colombo arriving to Bangkok at morning hours itself. 


The flight schedule will enable tourist to gain more time in their respective traveling destination and also for passengers who are having connecting flights beyond Thailand to have a smooth and hassle less transfer by having short connections while transiting, the airline said in a statement to the media.  


Thailand being one of the famous leisure destinations in the region with Bangkok being its capital city, is well known for night life, oasis of history and culture. Bangkok is not only popular for Tourism but for Religion economic and trade activities. 


Thai Smile Airways is a regional airline for short and medium-range flights. The airline commenced its commercial operations in 2012 with an aim to set new standards in the aviation industry and to generate further travel opportunities for its clients.
