Thilini, Arosha and Kishu to spearhead Mrs Tourism Sri Lanka 2022

The board of Mrs Tourism Sri Lanka 2022: Prestigious International Beauty Pageant has announced the appointment of popular Tourism Ambassador of Sri Lanka Thilini De Silva as National Director and award-winning corporate leaders Dr. Arosha Fernando and Dr. Kishu Gomes as Main Advisors of the upcoming pageant to be held in Colombo, followed by the winner to represent Sri Lanka in Dubai in the Mrs Tourism International 2022 pageant.

De Silva is a well-known social activist in Sri Lanka, who has won the crown titles of Mrs. Universe Famous China 2019, Mrs. Universe Sri Lanka 2019, Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Philippines 2019, Mrs. Best Cat Walk 2019, in national and international platforms. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management (HRM) and studied internationally beauty culture in India, Thailand and Singapore.

Dr. Fernando, who is versatile in regulatory matters and business development, has six university degrees from Australia - two bachelor’s degrees, three master’s degrees and a doctorate in business administration (DBA), the only person to have such kind of highest number of academic qualifications as a Sri Lankan. He has 28 years of senior management experience in the local and international business field and is currently Chairman of five multinational companies as well as Chief Executive Officer of Fly Lankan Airlines in Sri Lanka and Vice Chairman of Green Win Technologies Limited.

Dr. Gomes is currently Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Dreamron Group of Companies. Some of his previous senior positions held include Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism, MD/CEO of Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC and Chevron Ceylon Ltd, Director of Caltex India Ltd and Chairman of Bangladesh Caltex Lubricants Ltd. Taking the helm of Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC in 2000, holding the position for 18 years, Dr. Gomes was the youngest Sri Lankan to head such a multinational organisation and among his many achievements, made Caltex the well-respected corporate and household brand it is today.
