Traditional coconut oil manufacturers stage protest

The All Ceylon Traditional Coconut Oil Manufacturers’ Association staged a protest in front of the Public Library this week.
They alleged that coconut oil unfit for human consumption had come into the local market and resulted in a collapse of the local coconut oil market. The price of unbranded coconut oil in the market has come down to around Rs.450 a litre.
