Highlighting the unbreakable smartphone Honor X9b, in partnership with Honor, China, Singer Sri Lanka launched the latest models of Honor smartphones’ Xb series.
At the launch event hosted at Shangri-La Colombo recently, Honor X9b was called “the hero of the launch” by Singer Sri Lanka PLC Marketing Director Janmesh Antony.
Renowned for its durability and the ability to withstand falls, knocks and rarely getting damaged, equipped with Ultra-Bounce technology, Honor X9b is the world’s first smartphone with a Five-Star Drop Resistance Certificate from SGS Switzerland, an industry first, with a promise of an “experience unmatched”, Brand Manager Honor Ranidu Silva presenting its features to the audience said.
Honor X8b is a phone thinner than a pencil. Though not recommended for dropping, in this premium quality design phone, in an intuitive way, the all-new magic capsule that presents real-time app information is used dynamically.

Despite lacking drop resistance, Silva defined Honor X7b too as a “special” smartphone, designed for the free but the adventurer and traveller in the possessor.
As of today, certified by DXOMARK, Honor X7b has the best battery in a smartphone in the market, which can withstand 56 hours of phone calls at a stretch on a single charge. After three years of simulation testing, its battery capacity remains above 80 percent.
Its use of spatial audio through dual speakers gives more immersive audio-visual experience.
“Our journey with Singer has been instrumental in making cutting-edge technology accessible to everyone in Sri Lanka,” commented Honor Sri Lanka Country Manager Zeng Lexing.
Delivering the keynote address, Singer Group CEO Mahesh Wijewardene stated, “People are accepting Honor as a high-quality, very reliable and durable phone that they love to carry.”
Honor, one of the strongest Chinese companies, being among the biggest in the industry and a fast-growing globally powerful brand, puts a lot of effort into research and development “to bring cutting-edge digital technology and design capabilities and innovation”, Wijewardene added.
