Vasantha Kumar appointed to DFCC Bank board

Former People’s Bank General Manager/CEO Vasantha Kumar has been appointed to the board of DFCC Bank PLC as a Non-Executive Independent Director, with effect from 
September 1, 2021.

Kumar counts over 40 years of experience in banking, having been with ANZ Grindlays Bank for over 22 years and thereafter at People’s Bank for over 18 years.

He is currently a Director of Ceylinco Insurance PLC, Senkadagala Finance PLC, Asset Trust Management Private Limited and Safe Holdings Private Limited.

He was a past President of the Sri Lanka FOREX Association and Association of Primary Dealers. 
Kumar holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Wales, the UK.
