Verité Research to host expert commentary on Budget 2022 on Nov. 12

Following the success of last year’s budget event, Verité Research will be hosting an expert commentary on the budget speech immediately after it has been presented to Parliament on November 12.

The commentary will focus on the promises made in the budget speech, with analytical insights from PublicFinance.lk. 

Hosted by Deshal de Mel and Senith Abeynayake, the event will feature Members of Parliament from both the government and opposition along with experts from a variety of fields to provide a holistic overview of the government’s 2022 budget. 

Panellists include Regional Co-Operation State Minister Tharaka Balasuriya, Member of Parliament Eran Wickramaratne, Member of Parliament Dr. Harsha de Silva, Member of Parliament and COPE Chairman Prof. Charitha Herath, Member of Parliament Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Member of Parliament Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, former Member of Parliament Sunil Handunnetti, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Chief Economist Shiran Fernando, Advocata Institute Senior Research Fellow Roshan Perera, Verité Research Non-Resident Fellow Prof. Mick Moore and EngenuityAi Non-Executive Chairman Rajendra Theagarajah.
