ZEISS partners with Wickramarachchi Opticians

 For the first time in Sri Lanka, Wickramarachchi Opticians opened a ZEISS Vision Centre in Sri Lanka on November 10,  a state-of-the –art eye care centre in collaboration  with ZEISS which is a renowned German company.


 Mihira Wickramarachchi, the chairman and the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Wickramarachchi Opticians, said his vision is to set up such centres in the country in collaboration with ZEISS.


It was officially opened by Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris, German Ambassador Holger Seubert and Chief Delegate of Delegation German Industry and Commerce Andreas Hergenroether. The ambassador said German companies had been reliable partners for many decades.


“They stood with Sri Lanka in good times and in bad times. Cooperation in the health sector has been particularly fruitful and as we can see, is continuously deepening,” he said. Hergenroether said he was proud that ZEISS, one of the world’s largest producers of optical lenses, had partnered with Wickramarachchi Opticians to offer its unique innovative solutions to Sri Lankan patients. ZEISS is a company founded in 1846.
