Sri Lanka’s software maker nCinga opened office in Bangladesh, in partnership with Robi Axiata Bangladesh providing next generation smart factory solutions, with the launch of nFactory its Industry 4.0 aligned manufacturing execution software at an industry event held recently at the Radisson Hotel in Dhaka.

Over 80 industry professionals, including representatives from brands and manufacturers such as British fast-fashion house Marks and Spencer, Chairman of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) gathered at the launch event to examine how Industry 4.0 is shaping and transforming the global fashion and apparel business.

nFactory industrial digitisation platform will help create a digital virtual copy of the factory floor that encompasses automation and data exchange by capturing events in real time and contextually streaming it to the relevant decision makers with actionable insights. Industry 4.0 includes the internet of things as real time analytics as well as cloud computing and cyber-physical systems that allow equipment and humans to communicate and cooperate in real time.

“nFactory is not only revolutionising how manufacturers operate but also how brands and retailers need to function,” said nCinga CEO Imal Kalutotage. “nCinga’s goal is to provide its customers with the technology and support they need to thrive and succeed in this new digital marketplace. Giving manufactures the required agility, real-time visibility and control as they transition from the era of mass production to mass customisation.”

Imal further added: “The partnership between nCinga and Robi Axiata will help Bangladesh to be more competitive as a one of the preferred apparel manufacturing destinations.”

“nCinga’s nFactory real time capturing and digitisation solution was introduced to one of my production facilities as a three month trial pilot project, we implemented it in three production lines. Within a short period I received so much positive feedback from my production and quality assurance teams requesting to introduce same solution to rest of our lines. nCinga’s product nFactory has allowed us to stop hourly recording by a supervisor, which enable them to spend more time solving line issues and monitoring WIP levels and the job of production recording manpower has been completely eliminated, enabling total efficiency. Even better is the fact that we are able to display the product silhouette on the line and highlighting pass garments and rejected garment in real time. I have personally found the nFactory solution to be a very practical, efficient and easy to customise to match my product and manufacturing requirements,” said Megna Group Bangladesh Operations Director
Ranjan Weerasekera.

Established in October 2014, nCinga’s industry 4.0 aligned next-generation smart factory solution nFactory has been successfully deployed in some of the largest Sri Lankan apparel manufactures. nCinga’s real-time industrial digitisation platform is capable of solving everyday business problems on dynamic environments in the most simplistic and efficient manner. In 2015/2016 nCinga was selected as one of the tops start-ups in Asia by Channel News Asia’s.
