Australia’s Commonwealth Bank announces ‘Support for SL’

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has kicked off a support initiative for Sri Lanka to encourage those in that country to transfer money to the crisis hot economy.

The Commonwealth Bank said it will waive the transfer fee of AUS $ 6 for fund transfers to Sri Lanka. The transfer fee will not be charged till 11 September.

“Transfer from your AUD account to Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) in NetBank or the CommBank app and enter the promo code: SUPPORTSL,” the Bank said in a notice on its website.
