Once again, Bajaj was selected as Sri Lanka’s most-loved motorcycle brand for the 5th consecutive year.

Bajaj has been recognised by Brand Finance Lanka in their annual reviews since 2011 and with the introduction of the ‘Most Loved Motorcycle Brand’ category in 2019, has won this title in every subsequent year.
David Pieris Motor Company (Pvt.) Ltd. (DPMC), the largest automotive company has been the sole distributor for Bajaj products in Sri Lanka for over four decades. It is their commitment to the brand and to superior, accessible after-sales service that has led to Bajaj securing the ‘Most Loved Motorcycle Brand’ title, even when brand-new motorcycles have not been available due to import restrictions.
In 2022, after a break of nearly three years due to import restrictions, DPMC reintroduced the brand new Bajaj CT100 with local value addition under the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Automobile Manufacturing/ Assembling Industry and Automobile Component Manufacturing Industry in Sri Lanka introduced by the Ministry of Industries.
Naalaka Madugalle, Director (Vehicle Sales) and Chief Operating Officer for DPMC said, “We are truly grateful to our loyal Bajaj customers, they are the reason we continue to ensure our motorcycles, after-sales services and spare parts are readily available in every part of Sri Lanka, backed by the expertise of our professional, passionate and dedicated teams.”
The Bajaj CT 100, one of the bestselling bikes in the Bajaj family, is renowned for its fuel efficiency, durability, and performance, making it the ideal vehicle in the current economic environment.
Most recently, DPMC released the Bajaj Discover 125 under the local value addition programme; a motorcycle that had previously won the hearts of more than half a million Sri Lankans with the reputation of being the most stylish motorcycle in the 125cc category.
Both the Bajaj CT100 and Bajaj Discover 125 motorcycles are assembled at DPMC’s state-of-the-art Manufacturing Complex located in Ranna, Hambantota District, with the addition of locally manufactured components.
Bajaj, the world’s fourth-largest two-wheeler manufacturer is renowned in more than 75 countries in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and South and Southeast Asia for its range of motorcycles including CT 100, Platina, Discover, Avenger, Pulsar, etc. DPMC has been the sole distributor for Bajaj and KTM in Sri Lanka for over 4 decades.
