Michel Casselman, a Belgium based investor and a Director of My Dentist arrived in the country to assess the progress and launch new stand-alone clinics in Kottawa and Thalawathugoda making its total clinic count to nine up to date since its inception in March 2021.
The My Dentist chain concept is backed by Ataraxia Capital Partners. The latest and one-of-its-kind chain of dental clinics was launched with the aim of advancing dental care with high-tech infrastructure.
Given the unprecedented situation in the country regarding the pandemic, My Dentist chain of clinics continues to expand its services, paying attention to the health guidelines laid down by the Government.
At the opening of the new clinics, Michel Casselman said, “Health systems are an important component of the macro-economy, both as an industry that provides a large number of jobs, and also as a key determinant of a productive labour force – Health systems support societal well-being by enhancing social protection and reducing impoverishment associated with ill health.”
Director of My Dentist Sharad Sridharan, “Underlying drivers in the dental sector are strong, namely consumerization of healthcare, increased awareness of the importance of oral health, and increased accessibility, are driving strong growth in demand for dentistry. The trend appears to be continuing unabated with dentists spending about 30% of working hours in private dentistry. With increasing healthcare consumerism, we believe the private dental market has room for
further growth.”
“Our vision is to be the greatest chain of dental clinics in the country and do everything in our power to support dentists and team members. With support from Ataraxia Capital Partners and our Directors & Investors we can provide clinical excellence for patients, as well as our associate dentists’ patients,” stated Director, My Dentist Asanth Sebastian.
All its clinics respect social distancing for its front of house staff by arranging follow up appointments via telephone or email and by paying using contactless means or remotely, where possible. In clinical settings, except in case of allergies, customers will be asked to perform a 20 second rinse with mouthwash, to reduce the microbes in the mouth prior to treatment.
Clinical decontamination procedures are robust and more than adequate to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
