CICRA Campus has partnered with Melbourne Polytechnic, one of the largest TAFE providers in Australia, to deliver a Bachelor of Business pathway programmein Sri Lanka.
The collaboration allows CICRA to offer Melbourne Polytechnic’s Certificate IV in Marketing and Communications as well as the Diploma of Marketing and Communications as stand-alone offerings in Sri Lanka. The aforesaid collaboration was facilitated by AusEduco Melbourne.
“Students with O/L results can now complete the pathway programme at CICRA Campus and obtain direct entrance to Year 2 of the Bachelor of Business at the Melbourne Polytechnic in Australia,” CICRA Campus Group Director/CEO Boshan Dayaratne said.
“Bachelor of Business pathway saves time and money for students seeking to study in Australia and also provides vocational outcomes for career progression,” Dayaratne said.
The Bachelor of Business pathway programme consists of a certificate level and a diploma level study in marketing and communications that could be completed within an accelerated one-year period. Both the certificate and diploma are fully accredited under the Australian Qualification Framework.
The students completing the pathway programme at CICRA Campus can apply to study at Melbourne Polytechnic, subject to meeting visa and financial eligibility criteria set by the Australian government for international student applicants. Further, as per the current Australian immigration rules, students who complete two years undergraduate programme earns a three-year post-study visa, leading to
Australian citizenship.

Sri Lankan connections.
Melbourne Polytechnic has been delivering vocational training since 1912 and is one of the largest providers in Victoria, Australia. In October 2014, the institute was given its current name and aided by a US $ 19 million grant from the Victorian government.
Melbourne Polytechnic is registered with Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) – national regulator for vocational education and training. It is also registered as a higher education provider with Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) of Australia. It is a Registered Training organisation (RTO) from National Vocational education and training Regulatory (NVR).
