CMA SL UN MSME Day Development Summit on June 27

The CMA Sri Lanka SME Development Committee will be celebrating the UN MSME Day that falls on June 27 by conducting CMA Sri Lanka UN MSME Development Summit 2024, under the theme ‘MSMEs The Key Driving Force For Economic Growth in Sri Lanka’ for the third time, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Ballroom, Hotel Galadari.
The CMA Sri Lanka COVID 19 SME Development Committee, under the leadership of Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, has been active since April 2020. 
The UN Day MSME summit will be inaugurated by the chief guest, Asian Development Bank Country Director Takafumi Kadono.      


Guest of honour will be Industries Ministry Secretary Shantha Weerasinghe. The guest speaker will be Bangladesh Rameen Trust Deputy General Manager and Head of Development Md Abdul Matin. The event would see the presence of the following: Dr. Kulathunga Rajapaksa (Emeritus Managing Director DSI Group and Committee Member CMA Sri Lanka SME Development Committee), Suresh De Mel (former Chairman EDB and Committee Member CMA Sri Lank SME Development Committee), Athula Edirisinghe (Committee Member CMA Sri Lanka, SME Development Committee, former resident JASTECA, Founder Managing Partner  –  Strategic Management Alliance), Dr. Chamara Bandara (Committee Member CMA Sri Lanka SME Development Committee, Founder – SCB Corporate and Corporate Doctors (Pvt.) Ltd), Bandara Rekogama (former HNB Head of Refinance and Special Lending – CMA Sri Lanka SME Development Committee Member), Wickrama Narayana (Deputy General Manager Department of Enterprise Bank Peoples Bank), R.M.N. Jeewantha (Deputy General Manager Development Banking and Branch Credit Operations – (Range 2) – Bank of Ceylon) and Malika De Silva (Senior Manager – Development Credit Department Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC).
