CMA’s virtual post-budget seminar on Wednesday

The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) will conduct a virtual webinar on ‘Budget Highlights 2023 –Analysis of Tax Proposals and Impact on Business, Economy and Society’, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., via the Zoom online platform
The welcome address and introduction will be delivered by CMA Sri Lanka Founder President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala. 


The presentation on ‘Tax Proposals’ will be delivered by Ranaweera Associates (chartered accountants) Managing Partner Athula Ranaweera and the presentation on ‘Economic Proposals and Impacts’ will be delivered by Ernst & Young Head of Tax/Partner and Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Vice Chairman Duminda Hulangamuwa.
The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion and it will be moderated by Ernst & Young Partner Tax Nishtar Sulaiman.


The eminent panelists are Gajma & Co Senior Partner N.R. Gajendran, KPMG Principal Tax and Regulatory Suresh Perera, DSI Samson Group (Pvt.) Ltd Emeritus Group Chairman Dr. D. Kulatunga Rajapakse, Brandix Lanka Ltd Chief Financial Officer Hasitha Premaratne, Global Rubber Industries CEO Dr. Mahesha Ranasoma, Hatton National Bank Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer Dilshan Rodrigo, former Employers Federation of Ceylon Director General Kanishka Weerasinghe, The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka Immediate Past Chairman and Mount Lavinia Hotels Ltd Chairman Sanath Ukwatte, PwC Partner and former SLASSCOM Chairman Channa Manoharan and The Capital Maharaja Group Group Director Chevan Daniel.
