CMTA unveils Sri Lanka’s first-ever Pre-Owned Vehicle Fiesta

The Ceylon Motor Traders Association (CMTA), the most senior automotive association in South Asia, recently

hosted the first CMTA Pre-Owned Vehicle Fiesta, which was the first public event put on by the CMTA in over two years. 
This was due to the significant challenges brought about by the prevailing economic conditions and the fact that Sri Lanka’s motoring landscape has undergone significant changes.  

Therefore, the objective of the Pre-Owned Vehicle Fiesta was to have all major franchises represented in one place, so that customers would have access to the best pre-owned vehicles directly from the agents. Customers who purchased vehicles from the fiesta also received warranties directly from the agents. Additionally, a multitude of genuine motoring accessories were also available for customers at the fiesta.

CMTA Executive Committee Member and Pre-Owned Vehicle Fiesta Project Chairperson Sirhan Fernando shared his thoughts on the show, “It was great to be able to organise such an event, especially in view of the nation’s prevailing economic conditions. The fiesta was a great success and was the first of many that we hope to organise in the future, both in Colombo and outstation 
as well.”

The fiesta provided visitors with the opportunity to observe a plethora of certified used cars and a variety of other vehicles, including motorcycles, three-wheelers and commercial vehicles from all leading brands in one place. The event also highlighted the importance and benefits of buying vehicles from reputed companies and authorised dealers. Special leasing facilities were also available for customers at the fiesta from corporate sponsors HNB Leasing and Sri Lanka Insurance, along with special packages from SLT Mobitel for customers who visited and made purchases at the fiesta.
