Director buys 12.5% Vidullanka stake

Vidullanka PLC Director C.F. Fuhrer this week acquired 108.9 million shares or 12.5 percent stake in the company in a Rs.653.6 million deal.
The seller of shares was Wembley Spirit Limited, which held the exact same quantity as at December 31, 2022.
Vidullanka is a pioneer in the renewable energy generation space in Sri Lanka and also has operations in Africa and South America.  
Before the latest acquisition, Fuhrer held 1.09 million voting shares of Vidullanka. 

It couldn’t be established whether Fuhrer and the seller of shares Webley Spirit Limited are related parties. Fuhrer serves on the Board of Vidullanka as a Non-Executive Director. He is also the Director of Ranmalu Fashion (Pvt) Ltd and Chesa Swiss Restaurants (Pvt) Ltd., and has over a decade of experience in senior management and Board positions in Sri Lanka.
Vidullanka doesn’t have a controlling shareholder.
